We are lucky to have a team of long term, passionate, community minded teachers at Piha Preschool who have ongoing relationships within the community with past pupils and families and local schools.

The teachers are continuously up-skilling through professional development courses keeping qualifications current and within the need of the centre.

SUSAN FRASER - HEAD TEACHER

Hi, I'm Sue I live in Piha and I am married to Greg we have 2 lovely girls.

I have worked at Piha Community Preschool since 2002. I enjoy the company of the children and the staff and I consider them as my extended family. When I am out in the community it is nice to see children that have previously attend the preschool and their welcoming faces.

KAYE ANNABELL

I live in Kumeu and have two grown up daughters. I enjoy engaging with children in fun, creative mat times and I am passionate about encouraging children’s language development. I am excited to be part of a preschool with strong ties to the local community.

I have grown up in Piha and am lucky enough to now be able to bring up my 2 children in this beautiful and unique community. I am passionate about early childhood education and have worked in this field for over 15 years.

I live in Oratia with my husband Robin. I have 3 amazing daughters and 2 wonderful grandsons.

I have worked at Piha Preschool for the last 10 years and love every minute of it. Its wonderful to be part of a great team where you get to watch over and help nurture so many lovely children in a great and positive environment.

CLAUDIA FRASER

I have lived in Piha for the past 15 years with both my parents and younger sister.

I enjoy living at Piha as I am a mad keen surfer. I really enjoy working in a small community preschool that is so close to the beach, such a lovely environment for the small tamariki of Piha.

Administration

I am the treasurer and office administrator for the preschool. I have two adult children who attended the preschool in the 1990’s. I joined the team in 2013 in the role of treasurer and am a current member on the Board of Trustees.
I love the warm friendly environment of the preschool .
